Polyp Lab Reef Safe Medic is a reef‑safe water conditioner and parasite treatment for marine and freshwater aquariums, designed to tackle external fish parasites such as Cryptocaryon irritans (marine Ich) and Amyloodinium ocellatum (marine Velvet), while remaining safe for corals, invertebrates, and beneficial bacteria.

The formula uses an oxidizing agent, buffered to maintain physiological pH, which disrupts the parasite life cycle — including the free‑swimming stage — giving a better chance to eradicate infestations without needing harsher chemicals. 

Typical dosing is one level scoop per 190 L (50 US gallons) twice daily; for severe problems, up to three scoops per 190 L twice daily. Treatment should continue for at least 10 days (up to 20 days if necessary). After treatment, it’s advised to run activated carbon for 2–3 days to remove residual oxidising agents.
