PhosPlus – The Phosphorus Supplement for Reef Vitality

PhosPlus is a natural and controlled source of Phosphate (PO₄) formulated to restore and maintain optimal phosphorus levels in reef aquariums. Phosphorus plays a crucial role in coral coloration, health, and microbial activity, supporting efficient biological filtration alongside Carbon and Nitrogen.

In modern low- and ultra-low-nutrient systems, Phosphorus is often depleted, which can limit bacterial growth and cause Nitrate (NO₃) to accumulate. PhosPlus replenishes essential PO₄, promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria and microscopic plankton that consume excess nutrients. These microorganisms are then naturally exported through filtration or serve as food for corals, clams, sponges, and other reef life.

Use reliable phosphate test kits before dosing. Each 1 mL of PhosPlus raises PO₄ by approximately 0.01 ppm in 100 L of water. Increase PO₄ gradually—by 0.01 to 0.02 ppm per day—until reaching the ideal level of around 0.04 ppm. If Nitrate and Phosphate levels do not begin to decrease after dosing, your system may be carbon-limited; in that case, consider using CarboPlus to restore balance.
