Tropic Marin Elimi‑Phos Longlife is a high-capacity phosphate‑removing granulate made from iron‑hydroxide, designed for both freshwater and marine aquariums. Once added — typically around 100 g per 200 L of system volume — the granules absorb phosphates, silicates, and other dissolved organics so strongly that they won’t leach back into the water. This helps prevent algae growth, improves water clarity and quality, and supports healthier coral and invertebrate growth by eliminating excess nutrients that can fuel nuisance algae. The product can remain in the filter or sump even after its absorption capacity is reached; simply replace when phosphate levels begin to rise again.
